Engineering Student Invites Her Best Bros to Be Her Bridesmaids

Most brides pick a group of their closest female friends for their bridal parties. While men are added to the mix in some cases, it’s very rare that the bride’s entire party is comprised of them.

That was the case for Rebeca Abrantes, a 24-year-old majoring in engineering at Universidade Federal de Itajubá in Brazil, because she has more male friends than girlfriends.

She uploaded an album of the hilarious photos with her pals to Facebook, captioning it, “When the bride doesn’t have any girlfriends, it’s time to call her bros. This is what happens to a girl in Computer Engineering.” It has since gone viral.

In the series of photos — shot by photographer Fernando Duque — the bride-to-be poses in a white silk robe with the guys, who are wearing pink robes of their own.

Abrantes told the Jornal de Brasilia that her friendship with the guys stemmed from the fact that there were so few females in her computer engineering class at university.

The group is photographed doing everything from shaving to taking shots together in the comical images.

The album “The Making Of” has received 67,000 likes and over 20,000 comments on Facebook since being uploaded on May 16.

It’s clear people couldn’t get enough of the funny photo shoot.

Abrantes also posted a behind-the-scenes video from the shoot to her Instagram account.

No doubt her friends were on hand to celebrate with her during the ceremony.
