Emplify Health to acquire, and re-open, Mondovi clinic

MONDOVI, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – One of the Prevea Clinics that closed last month will be once again serving its community. Emplify Health, the merger between Gundersen and Bellin Health, shared that it acquired Mondovi’s Prevea Clinic. The announcement was made at a dedication to Gundersen’s Tri-County Hospital in Whitehall.

Staff with Emplify Health say community members in rural areas deserve high-quality healthcare. This is Emplify Health’s first acquisition, but staff says it’s not necessarily the last, Gundersen and Bellin Health System representative, Heather Schimmer, says, “We are continually looking to for what makes sense for our organization. We’re investigating. We’re doing our due diligence and thoroughly evaluating communities that make sense for all of us, to thrive and be able to provide our services safely.”

Emplify Health says the Mondovi clinic will offer a range of primary care services. Right now, staff recruitment is being prioritized, along with building and equipment needs.

Staff with Gundersen say the opening date will be shared once it’s confirmed and expect to close the sale in July.
