Emmys 2018: Chrissy Teigen has perfect response to viewer who asked if she was 'pregnant again'

Chrissy Teigen has hit back at a troll who asked online if she was “pregnant again.”

The model and influencer attended the Emmy Awards in Los Angeles on Monday evening with her husband John Legend four months after giving birth to the couple’s second child, Miles.

But rather than express admiration for Teigen’s Zuhair Murad dress, one man took it upon himself to share on Twitter his unsolicited opinion on her body.

“I’m asking this with the utmost respectful, but is @chrissyteigen pregnant again? [sic]” wrote a man named Lars Alexandersson.

Teigen, 32, responded by quoting his tweet and writing: “I just had a baby but thank you for being soooo respectful.”

The popular tweeter - who has 10.7 million followers on the social network - received a barrage of support for her response.

“I’m so sick of today’s society and what people think a woman’s body ‘should’ look like,” wrote one person. “How disrespectful. Body-shaming is so gross.”

And many people pointed out that it is never OK to ask a woman if she is pregnant.

“I’m an OB and I NEVER ask unless I’ve seen the pregnancy test, heard cardiac activity, or seen the ultrasound,” wrote Dr Jen Gunter.

Teigen is not the only celebrity to have addressed the pressure placed on women for their bodies to spring back to how they looked pre-pregnancy immediately after giving birth.

Earlier this year, actor Blake Lively posted a picture on Instagram with her personal trainer.

The Gossip Girl star explained that she gained 61lbs over 10 months while pregnant, and it took her 14 months to get her body back into its pre-pregnancy shape.
