Emmerdale's Cain and Moira Dingle both take steps to resolve ongoing feuds in Monday's episode (May 13).

The couple decide that life is too short following the shock of Nicky Miligan's devastating car crash injuries.

Cain has felt unable to forgive his half-brother Caleb Miligan for breaking the Dingle family code with his recent affair. Caleb started a secret relationship with Nate Robinson's wife Tracy last year, ultimately destroying his nephew's marriage.

Meanwhile, Moira has been embroiled in a petty back-and-forth battle with Caleb's wife Ruby in recent weeks.

In Monday's episode, Ruby and Caleb both struggle to cope as they keep vigil by Nicky's bedside. Their son is still fighting for his life after being injured in a crash alongside Ethan Anderson.

Ruby confides in unlikely supporter Moira about Nicky's serious condition and they start to bond despite the recent family tension.

Ruby also makes it clear that she wants revenge for Nicky's accident and hopes to find out who was driving the car.

Back at the hospital, Cain turns up to show his support and ends up reconciling with Caleb. The brothers are united with a vow to find the driver.

Charles notices Ethan acting strangely and takes him to the church for an honest conversation.

Ethan confesses that he was driving the car when Nicky had his accident, but he intends to keep covering up the truth rather than making a confession.

Charles has other ideas as he reports Ethan to the police, determined to do the right thing.

Kevin Mathurin, who plays Charles, recently told us: "There's always that battle between Charles the vicar and Charles the man and father. He wants to do right by his son, obviously, but righteously, to do the right thing is own up and face the consequences.

"Charles will support him no matter what happens. You can't take your own wheel, sometimes you've got to hand God the wheel and see what happens."

Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
