Emilio Delgado, beloved Luis on ‘Sesame Street’ for 40 years, dies of multiple myeloma at age 81

Emilio Delgado, who played the beloved Luis on “Sesame Street” for 40 years, has died at age 81 after a battle with blood cancer.

That actor passed away Thursday at his home in New York City, surrounded by family, his wife Carol told TMZ.

He died of multiple myeloma that was diagnosed in December 2020, and recently was in hospice care, according to the site.
