22-year-old man killed in Butler County motorcycle crash

A man was killed in a motorcycle crash Sunday in Butler County.

Butler County dispatchers say first responders were called to the area of Mercer Road and Benjamin Franklin Highway in Butler Township just after 3 p.m. on Sunday.

Gabriel Bishop, 22, of Butler, was killed when he tried to pass a pickup truck and clipped the rear bumper of truck, state police said.

The eastbound lanes of Benjamin Franklin Highway had to be closed while crews responded.
