Emergency blackout schedules were introduced in Kyiv due to a significant electricity shortage by Ukrenergo on the morning of May 15, the Kyiv City Military Administration (KMVA) reported on Telegram.
The situation with the power system remains difficult, but energy companies will make maximum efforts to restore its stable operation, KVMA said.
About 10% of consumers will be disconnected, with restrictions in place until approximately 11:00 p.m. Restriction schedules also apply to industrial consumers.
The KVMA also urged Kyiv residents, businesses, and industry to consume electricity sparingly.

Blackouts due to Russian shelling
Russia attacked Ukraine with 55 missiles (Kinzhal, Kalibr, Iskander-M, Kh-101/Kh-555, Kh-59/Kh-69) and 21 kamikaze drones overnight on May 8.
Ukraine's defense forces destroyed 39 enemy missiles and 20 Shaheds. All the rockets used by the occupiers to attack Kyiv were shot down.

Russia struck the electricity generation and transmission facilities in six Ukrainian oblasts: Poltava, Kirovohrad, Zaporizhzhya, Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, and Vinnytsia, Ukrainian Energy Minister, Herman Halushchenko said.
Equipment at an Ukrenergo facility in central Ukraine was damaged in the attack, Ukrenergo reported on May 8.
In the evening of the same day, Ukrenergo stated that it would limit the energy supply to industry and business, but if consumption continues to grow, outages will also affect household consumers throughout Ukraine.
Controlled emergency power outages were introduced in all regions of Ukraine due to a significant electricity shortage, Ukrenergo reported on May 14. These restrictions will be in effect on May 14 from 9:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.
For industrial consumers, the capacity limitation schedules will be in effect throughout the day on May 15.
