Elysian Fields ISD residents to see $55 million bond on ballot

ELYSIAN FIELDS, Texas (KETK) – Elysian Fields Independent School District said a $55 million bond will be voted on during the May 4 election with two propositions on the ballot.

The 2024 Bond will address the safety and security of their “aging” facilities, Elysian Fields ISD said. Voters will be able to vote on proposition A worth $52,421,531 and proposition B worth $2,578,469.

Proposition A projects are:

  • HVAC/electrical/plumbing upgrades at the middle school and high school.

  • Roof replacements at the middle school and high school.

  • Security access control in the halls of the middle school and high school.

  • A new elementary school campus.

  • The relocation of district transportation.

  • Gym locker room renovations in the high school.

  • Addition of three school busses with air conditioning.

The proposition B project will entail the demolition and reconstruction of the high school field house at Jacket Stadium, the school district said.

Elysian Fields ISD said voters in the district can vote on both propositions and they do not need to choose between the two.
