Good news, everyone! Elon Musk has a new idea:

Very exciting (if:

• "Verbal govt approval" means anything at all

• Every state involved decides to participate

• The Boring Company manages to bore usable tunnels in LA

• Somebody first builds a Hyperloop that can actual carry people above ground

• The DOT signs off on 750 mph subterranean vacuum tube travel

• Musk can manage to scrape up enough in public grants and private investment

• All of that goes off without a single, project-jeopardizing hitch

• We don't all die of old age before it happens)!

SpaceX turned out OK, so maybe there's a fighting chance. Can't wait to find out!
