Elmira Drive-In to open for 2024 season this week

ELMIRA, N.Y. (WETM) — The Elmira Drive-In is starting its 2024 season at the end of the week.

The Elmira Drive-In will show its first movies of the year on Friday, March 29. Viewers have the option to watch a double feature of “Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire” and “Madame Web,” which start at 7:40 p.m. and 9:50 p.m., respectively, or “Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire” and “Dune: Part Two,” which start at 7:50 p.m. and 10 p.m., respectively. The same movies will play at the same times on Saturday, March 30, and Sunday, March 31.

The drive-in will be open rain or shine on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Tickets cost $11 for people aged 12 and older, cost $6 for children aged four to 11, and are free for children aged three and under. Tickets are available online or at the box office upon arrival. Each ticket will grant the visitor entry for the night and allow them to watch a double feature. The drive-in says that it may play triple features as well.

The drive-in concessions stand will be open during its showings, with hot food, popcorn, sodas, candies, and ICEEs available for purchase.
