Elizabeth City man arrested in connection with parole violation

ELIZABETH CITY, N.C. (WAVY) – A man was arrested in Elizabeth City on Tuesday after violating his parole, officers said.

According to a press release, 35-year-old Brian Michael Parker was arrested on April 16 when Elizabeth City officers responded to the 1300 block of McPherson Street in reference to a wanted subject. Officers worked alongside North Carolina Probation and Parole for the arrest.

Parker was given a $75,000 bond and charged with possession of a firearm by a felon, financial identity fraud, possession of heroin and two counts of probation violation.

Following a court appearance Thursday morning, Parker was transferred to the Albemarle District Jail.
