In a beyond iconic moment, Elizabeth Banks got all too real about Donald Trump’s campaign at last night’s Democratic National Convention. The Hunger Games and Pitch Perfect actress completely mimicked Trump’s entrance to the Republican National Convention, highlighting in a totally humorous and good-natured way the often over-the-top production of all that is Trump.

With “We Are the Champions” blasting and fog taking over the stage, Banks emerged — just like Trump did last week at the RNC. If nothing else, she gave it 100.

Clapping at the theatrics, “You know, I don’t usually say this, but Donald Trump,” Banks said. “That was over the top.” Straight-faced, she continued, saying, “The Trump campaign is so hard up for money, I just bought that fog machine on eBay for 30 bucks,” Banks said. “I don’t feel good about it. I don’t.”

She introduced herself by talking about her role in The Hunger Games as Effie Trinket to Trump—and comparing Trinket to Trump. “Some of you know me from The Hunger Games, in which I play Effie Trinket — a cruel, out-of-touch reality TV star who wears insane wigs while delivering long-winded speeches to a violent dystopia,” said Banks in a reference to Trump’s entrance at last week’s Republican National Convention. “So when I tuned in to Cleveland last week, I was like, ‘Hey! That’s my act.’”

Banks has continually been open about her support for Hillary, and distaste for Trump, so it wasn’t completely surprising to see her openly mocking the Republican candidate. Plus, she’s got the humor to make it work, as she’s proven time and time again.
