El Reno softball coach resigns after policy violation investigation

El RENO, Okla. (KFOR) – El Reno Public Schools announced on Monday a coach under suspension has now resigned.

A statement from the district said in part, “On Friday, , March 9th, El Reno Public Schools was made aware of a situation involving our high school softball coach. The coach was immediately suspended pending an investigation by the district as well as the El Reno Police Department.”

The El Reno school district concluded saying, “police determined no criminal activity had taken place, but because policy violations were committed, the coach resigned.”

According to the El Reno Police Department, they looked into possible inappropriate behavior by a member of the school staff but determined no crime was committed.

The district remains committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of all students and staff. We hold ourselves to the highest standards of professionalism and ethical conduct, and any behavior that does not align with these standards will not be tolerated.
