El Cerrito Del Norte BART closed due to medical emergency

(KRON) — The El Cerrito Del Norte station is temporarily closed due to a medical emergency, BART said on X.

All orange and red lines are currently heading back to their original directions southward from the El Cerrito Plaza station. Riders heading northbound from the Richmond station are currently experiencing major delays.

AC Transit is providing mutual aid on bus 72M between Richmond, El Cerrito Del Norte, and El Cerrito Plaza stations, BART said.

No information on the medical emergency was shared as of this report.

As of 6:45 p.m., BART was single-tracking through El Cerrito Del Norte Station, but the station still remains closed due to a medical emergency. First responders remain at the scene, BART said.

As of 6:55 p.m., BART tracks were cleared, and the El Cerrito Del Norte station was reopened, BART said.
