From the editor: Timely news in Georgia is crucial. We’ve got a new way to bring it to you

As the landscape of the newspaper industry rapidly changes, I’ve often heard one common critique from subscribers of The Telegraph: a need for more up-to-date articles in our newspapers.

It’s true, as print deadlines and locations change, it has become increasingly difficult to deliver the most timely possible news in a curated product that Georgians can see every morning.

McClatchy, our parent company, is changing that: This week, we’re thrilled to launch Edition, an online product that newspaper fans will love, with up-to-date news that you can find daily.

No, Edition is not a print newspaper. It’s also not just a digitized version of our newspaper on your device. It’s so much more. It is more timely, it is more immersive, and it is still curated by us, giving you the same feel you get when you sit down to read the paper every day. And you’ll get a new version every morning. You’ll see our top stories front and center. You’ll find quality sports, lifestyle and national stories across our different sections.

How are we now able to bring you more timely news? Our introduction of this new Edition allows us to escape from rigid print deadlines to bring you coverage that is truly new every day. The Edition is going to offer crucial reporting to our readers that even the print edition had not been able to deliver before, bringing you fresher news from journalists committed to fully covering your local community.

And it’ll look better than it ever has before. You’ll get responsive tabbed pages that are easy to navigate and read. You’ll find interactive material right there in the story. You’ll be able to quickly find any section of the paper you want.

This new design will give you a quality experience on your phone, your tablet and your computer. And an offline mode will let you read important news even when you’re not connected to the internet.

With this totally new approach from us, the news will be easier to access, easier to read and easier to share with others. We’ve all had that moment where we want others to see what we’re reading. With our new Edition, we’ve made sure that’s as easy as possible.

And if you’re not looking for hard news from top to bottom, we’ve got you covered too: You can immerse yourself in interactive puzzles, mind-bending games and classic comics, all right there in The Edition.

If you’re looking for the most up-to-date news, with our top stories handpicked for you, there is no better option than The Telegraph’s Edition. How can you access it? If you’re a subscriber and you’re signed into our site, you can access it in the top left-hand corner of any page on our site.
