Ed Sheeran, Mary J. Blige and Placebo join iTunes Festival

Ed Sheeran will perform at the Roundhouse in London on September 29 as part of the 2014 iTunes Festival.

The lineup is nearly complete for the next iTunes Festival, which is set to take place in London throughout the month of September. Ed Sheeran, Mary J. Blige, Placebo and Tony Bennett have been added to the program, joining previously announced acts including Pharrell Williams, Lenny Kravitz, Kylie Minogue, Maroon 5, Beck, Blondie, Jungle and David Guetta.

The festival will consist of around 60 concerts performed throughout September at the Roundhouse in London.

All of these shows will be available to stream live or download on demand on an iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch, through iTunes on any computer, or through Apple TV.

In the UK, fans can compete to win tickets on the iTunes Store or in competitions organized with partner media outlets including Global Radio and the London Evening Standard. Music lovers worldwide will also be able to sign up to win tickets through local media partners in their countries.

Since 2007, over 430 artists have performed at the iTunes Festival, including Adele, Paul McCartney, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Muse, Coldplay and the Foo Fighters. Recordings from the majority of these shows are available for download on iTunes as part of a collection of EPs, generally with 4 to 6 tracks each, which are sold at a reduced price.
