CASTING CALLS— FOX's amateur cooking competition MasterChef is currently casting for its upcoming six season. Non-professional cooks interested in getting yelled at by Gordon Ramsay, Graham Elliot, and Joe Basatianich can attend one of the 11 open calls (which start September 13 in San Diego) or apply online here. Casting calls run through October 18, while those choosing to send a video line must do so before the October 25 deadline. [EaterWire]

BROOKLYN— As part of the previously announced 2014 edition of Taste Talks, organizers will also throw the first-ever Future Food Expo, scheduled for September 13 and 14. According to a press release, the event will highlight artisan food products, technological innovations, and other companies "interested in the future of taste," including Dinner Lab, Fresh Direct, and Raaka Chocolate.
