Here are Easter egg hunts in the Des Moines metro. There's something for every-bunny.

Easter is right around the corner, and we've got some egg-spert insight on the best egg hunting spots in the Des Moines metro.

Whether you're looking for a sensory-friendly event, a pet event or even a 21+ egg hunt at the winery, you've got options:

Sensory Friendly Glowtastic Egg Hunt

Des Moines Children's Museum is hosting a sensory friendly egg hunt in a calm space. All regular exhibits will be open. Sensory bins and communication boards will be provided.

When: March 22 and 28, 5 – 6:30 p.m.

Where: 1551 Valley West Drive #108, West Des Moines

Indianola Family Flashlight Easter Egg Hunt

Kids from 2-13 are invited to a nighttime egg hunt in Indianola. Families are encouraged to dress for the weather and bring a flashlight and basket. Registration is required for all egg hunters, you can register online on the city of Indianola's website or call 515-961-9420.

When: March 22, 8:15 p.m.

Where: 2204 W. Second Ave., Indianola

Debra Heights Wesleyan Church's Community Easter Egg Hunt

Kids from age 0 through fifth grade are invited to hunt for Easter eggs at Woodlawn Park. Debra Heights Wesleyan's Facebook says it's one of the largest hunts in the Des Moines metro.

When: March 23, 9 a.m.

Where: Woodlawn Park, 3126 Twana Drive, Des Moines

Ankeny Community Easter Egg Hunt

Ankeny's Kiwanis Club will host an egg hunt at Hawkeye Park. An accessible hunt will also be held at Miracle Field. The free events will also feature a visit from the Easter Bunny.

When: March 23, 9:30 a.m.

Where: Hawkeye Park, 400 NW Lakeshore Drive, Ankeny

Beaverdale Neighborhood Association Easter Egg Hunt

The Beaverdale Neighborhood Association is hosting an Easter egg hunt at Beaverdale Park. Organizers warn that the event goes quickly and they recommend showing up early. There are separate age groups, all kids are welcome, but the association asks that you leave your dogs at home.

When: March 23, 10 a.m.

Where: 3333 Adams Ave, Des Moines

ARL's Eggstravaganza

This one's for the dogs. When your dog touches a plastic egg with its nose, into your basket it goes. Check-in for the event will be right outside the main doors, at the beginning of the walking trail. ARL says to follow the walking trail to find eggs, treats and more, and don't forget to hop over to the photo area for a picture of your pup.

When: March 23, 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Where: ARL of Iowa Bailey's Bark Park, 5452 NE 22nd St., Des Moines

Easter Egg Scramble

Altoona's Hy-Vee will host its annual Easter Egg Scramble. Come early to have breakfast in the store's Market Grille with the Easter Bunny and Rapunzel starting at 9 a.m. A bounce house along with visits from Olaf and Belle will be available after the hunt until 2 p.m. Start times will be staggered by age groups for kids 1-12 years old.

When: March 23, 11 a.m.

Where: Altoona Hy-Vee and Civic Plaza Park, 108 8th St. NW, Altoona

Terrace Hill's Annual Egg Hunt on the Hill

Join Gov. Kim Reynolds and the Easter Bunny for the annual egg hunt outside the governor's mansion. The Iowa Egg Council will provide eggs on a stick and balloon animals will also be available. The egg hunt is limited to ages 1-10. Registration is limited to 150 children and RSVPs should be sent to molly.thompson@governor.iowa.gov with the full name and age of each child. Questions can be directed to 515-281-7205.

When: March 23, 1 p.m.

Where: Terrace Hill, 2300 Grand Ave., Des Moines

Community Egg Hunt at New Hope United Methodist Church

New Hope is hosting egg hunts for various ages. Egg hunting areas will be separated by age, and all kids 0-12 are welcome. New Hope warned on Facebook that the egg hunt will go quickly, so be on time for the egg-citement. There will also be opportunities for pictures with the Easter Bunny.

When: March 23, 2 p.m.

Where: 4525 Beaver Ave., Des Moines

Special Egg Event

Enjoy food, carnival games, activity areas and egg hunts designed for all children. There will be a quiet egg hunt for children with special sensory needs. You can also register for a beeping egg hunt for those who have a visual impairment, a magnetic egg hunt for children with wheelchairs or mobility restrictions, an assisted egg hunt or an unassisted egg. Registration is required, and can be found at specialeggevent.com/register.

When: March 23, 3-5 p.m.

Glowtastic Egg Hunt at Des Moines Children’s Museum

Join Des Moines Children's Museum for a special after-hours event featuring a glow-in-the-dark egg hunt, egg decorating and some surprises. All regular exhibits will be open. This event is $10 for ages 1-10, and free for infants, adults and members, tickets are available for purchase at the door.

When: March 23 and 29, 6 - 8 p.m.

Where: 1551 Valley West Drive #108, West Des Moines

Heartland Chiropractic + Wellness Center's Easter Egg Hunt, Naturally

Heartland Chiropractic + Wellness is hosting a hunt with eggs filled with toys and candy free of dyes and artificial sweeteners. You can also get pictures taken with the Easter Bunny.

When: March 24, 2 p.m.

Where: Heartland Chiropractic + Wellness Center, 5521 NW 86th St., Johnston

Easter Jam at West Des Moines United Methodist Church

West Des Moines United Methodist is inviting families to come out for an hour of crafts, games, photo booth opportunity with the Easter Bunny, and of course, an Easter egg hunt!

When: March 27, 10:15 a.m.

Where: West Des Moines United Methodist Church, 720 Grand Ave, West Des Moines

Easter Egg Hunt at Riverview Park

Join the Highland Park and Oak Park Neighborhood Association for their annual Easter egg hunt. The hunt will start at 9 a.m. sharp. All ages are invited, and there will be a visit from the Easter Bunny.

When: March 30, 8:30-11 a.m.

Where: Riverview Park, 710 Corning Ave., Des Moines

Family Easter at Living History Farms

Plan for a morning full of family fun at Living History Farms. There will be ongoing egg and toy hunts throughout the morning, all divided by age. There will also be an allergy-cautious egg hunt. You also have the chance to take a stroll through the 1876 town, take a horse-drawn wagon ride, meet the Easter Bunny and more. Tickets are $9 per person for non-members and $8 per person for members and can be purchased online at Living History Farm's website. Children one and younger are free.

When: March 30, 9 a.m. to noon

Where: Living History Farms, 11121 Hickman Road, Urbandale

The Great Egg Hunt – Sponsored by MetroNet

Walker Johnston Regional Park will be filled with eggs and treats. The event is for kids ages 10, and be sure to arrive no later than 10 a.m. for the send-off. On Facebook, it says most of the eggs are picked up in less than five minutes.

When: March 30, 10 a.m.

Where: Walker-Johnston Park, 9000 Douglas Ave., Urbandale

Easter Egg Hunt at Waukee's Centennial Park

Fill your baskets at Waukee’s annual Easter Egg Hunt, sponsored by the Waukee Parks & Recreation Department. Waukee warns to keep an eye out for special golden prize eggs. The hunt will be divided into three groups by age, children up to 10 are welcome.

When: March 30, 10 a.m.

Where: Centennial Park, 1255 Warrior Lane, Waukee

Creekside Easter Egg Hunt

Creekside’s annual Easter egg hunt is set for another fun year. The church is collecting plastic eggs and individually plastic-wrapped candy or trinkets to fit inside. You can drop off donations at the display in the Creekside lobby by March 23.

When: March 30, 10:30 a.m.

Where: Creekside Church, 2743 82nd Place, Urbandale

SouthSide Cares Easter Egg Hunt

Take to the ballfield and hunt for more than 6,000 eggs at the annual Southside Cares Easter egg hunt. Concessions will be open with a limited menu and the Easter Bunny will be in attendance. Every child will also be entered to win a bicycle and helmet.

When: March 30, 11 a.m.

Where: Fort Des Moines Little League, 1166 Southwold Road, Des Moines

Youth of America's Easter Eves

Head to Union Park for an Easter basket giveaway and Easter egg hunt put on by Youth of America Community Resource. The annual event will also feature face painting, egg dying and an appearance by the Easter Bunny.

When: March 30, noon

Where: Union Park, 725 Thompson Ave., Des Moines

Easter at Summerset Winery

Summerset Winery is hosting an Easter egg hunt for the kids and the adults. Face painting and balloon animals are available by ticket. The winery will host two hunts, one for 20 and under, and one for 21 and older. The under 20 egg hunt will begin at 1:30 p.m., with staggered start times based on age groups, and the 21+ egg hunt will begin at 2 p.m.

When: March 31, 12 p.m.

Where: Summerset Winery, 15101 Fairfax St., Indianola
