They are further devastated when the doctor shares that the condition will lead to sight and hearing impairments.

As Whitney reels from the news, she tries to learn more about Britney’s condition.

Zack worries that the added stress is too much for Whitney while she’s pregnant and rallies around Britney as she prepares for her first day at school.

However, when Zack suggests enrolling her at the GP and telling them about Britney’s condition, Whitney lies and insists she’s already done so.

Worried the truth will come out, Whitney tries to persuade Sonia to bypass the checks required to register Britney.

With Sonia unable to help, Whitney is left with no choice but to haul Britney's mum Keeley to the GP to sign her up.

Whitney becomes so caught up in Britney's situation that she misses a scan, which leads to another argument with Zack.

Sonia later hosts a dinner party, where Lauren pulls Whitney aside and tells her that she needs to tell Zack the truth or she will.

Lauren insists that Whitney must tell Zack about Britney’s fostering, or she'll tell him herself.

The pair continue to exchange tense words, but things grow even more awkward when Zack overhears and demands answers.

Whitney manages to cover and Zack accepts her story, leaving Lauren despairing.

The pair do manage to put their differences aside when they find a downtrodden Britney, who explains that she had a run in with bullies on the way to school.
