EastEnders shock for Jack as he gets mystery visitor
EastEnders' Jack Branning will be rocked by a mystery visitor as his nightmare with Charlie Cotton continues next week.
Jack (Scott Maslen) had his world turned upside down earlier this month by the reappearance of Matthew's biological father Charlie Cotton, who has made no secret of wanting his son back.
As the situation intensified, Jack was accused of brutally beating up Charlie in a shock attack, but in reality he only threw one punch and the rest of Charlie's injuries were secretly caused by his scheming brother Max.
The plot will continue to gather momentum during next week's episodes, with Jack struggling to continue as normal following recent events.
Realising the pressure Jack is under, Honey does her best to support him and offers to look after the children in order to give him a break.
However, it looks like Honey might have a problem on her hands when Charlie arrives at the playground where she has taken the kids, but luckily, she stands her ground and gives him a stern warning.
Although Charlie does as he's told, the harmony doesn't last and he's soon turning up on Jack's doorstep with an update – he's notified social services of his plans to apply for residency of Matthew.
As Jack sinks further into despair, it's Stacey Branning's turn to offer support as she desperately tries to get him to see the reality of his situation with Matthew.
Unfortunately, Stacey's advice falls on deaf ears when Jack decides there is only one solution to the never-ending nightmare and later takes drastic action.
When Max clocks on to Jack's plan, he tries to reason with him, unaware that Ricky and Amy are listening.
But with the pressure building, Jack is shocked by an unexpected arrival. Who is it? And what do they want?
EastEnders airs these scenes on Monday, May 29, Tuesday, May 30, Thursday, June 1 and Friday, June 2 on BBC One.
