The aforementioned feature film she will appear in is called Departures, and features a host of other soap actors, including Hollyoaks' David Tag, Emmerdale star Liam Boyle, and Waterloo Road actor Olly Rhodes.

Although Lorraine's character Karen has left Walford, she made a brief comeback this year as the storyline surrounding her son Keanu's death at the hands of The Six unfolds.

Lorraine is tipped to make yet another comeback to the soap in upcoming scenes, now that Keanu's body has been found. It will only be a brief return, Digital Spy understands.

EastEnders airs on Mondays - Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.
