EastEnders and Corrie now have one big thing in common
EastEnders and Coronation Street now have one big thing in common as Stacey Fowler named her newborn daughter Hope.
Stacey (Lacey Turner) had her baby girl prematurely earlier this week, after being rushed into hospital following a frightening seizure.
With Stacey struggling to cope with the sudden turn of events, yesterday's scenes saw her grow frustrated with her husband Martin when he came up with various names they could call her.
However, after some touching words from Max Branning (yes, really!), Stacey and Martin decided to name their daughter Hope as she continued to fight for her life in hospital.
After the episode had aired, viewers on Twitter were quick to point out the remarkable similarities between little Hope Fowler and Hope Stape in Corrie.
Fiz named her daughter Hope when she also gave birth prematurely in December 2010 after the tram crash – meaning the little girl faced a similar fight for her life in hospital.
