Meet Ferrell Fisher of Tyler, the owner of Lauren Ferrell Designs.

“I started my business my senior year of high school. Making jewelry was always something that my mom and I did for fun, just as a hobby,” Fisher said.

She began weaving the hobby into helping others by handmaking jewelry to pay for her mission trip to Haiti.

“I started out giving back to the mission that I worked with in Haiti, and we still support them,” Fisher said.

After the trip, she realized she could use her passion for a purpose. As she still helps Haiti, Fisher also gives back to her hometown.

“Being able to give back to the community that raised me and has provided me with so many opportunities is really important to me,” said Fisher.

In addition to running a business, Fisher is also a member of the Junior League of Tyler and hosts camps and workshops to teach young girls about the power of creativity.

“If you’re even thinking about starting a business like go for it, definitely go for it, because you never know where that could take you,” Fisher said.

Fisher combines fundraising, fashion and fine jewelry in her local boutique to help others shine.
