Earthquake measuring 6.6 magnitude strikes east of Solomon Islands - USGS
SYDNEY (Reuters) - An earthquake measuring 6.6 magnitude struck east of the Solomon Islands in the South Pacific on Friday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The quake, at a depth of 33 km (20 miles), was centred 161 kms (100 miles) east of Kira Kira in the Solomon Islands.
