May 14—Early voting for the Republican primary runoff elections between Justin Holland and Katrina Pierson for Texas House District 33 and between Bobby Gallana and Mike Townsend for Rockwall Council Commissioners Court Precinct 1 will begin this coming Monday and will continue throughout the week until Friday.

Polling locations in Rockwall County for the runoffs will be at the Rockwall County Library, Fate City Hall, Heath City Hall, McLendon-Chisholm City Hall and Rowlett Utility Customer Service Center. Each of the locations will be open for early voting from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. this Monday through Friday.

After votes were counted for the regular primary election on March 5, the three-way race for Rockwall County Commissioners Court Precinct 1 ended with Gallana seizing 49.45% of the vote, Townsend with 30.77%, and Johnny Lyons with 19.77%. Since none of the candidates managed to win at least 50% of the vote, a runoff election was called between the top two candidates.

Similarly, in the three-way race for HD-33, Pierson finished with 39.5% of the vote, Holland (the incumbent) followed closely with 38.69% and Dennis London garnered 21.82% of the vote, leading to a runoff election between Pierson and Holland.
