Early voting has opened; here are hours in Skokie, Park Ridge, Niles, Glenview, Evanston, more

Early voting for the primary elections opened at many suburban locations on Monday, March 4. Voters can pick their nominees for United States president, United States Congress and other positions. Election day is March 19.

Here’s information from Cook County Clerk Karen Yarbrough’s office on where and when early voting will take place in the Skokie, Norridge, Park Ridge, Morton Grove, Park Ridge, Niles, Lincolnwood, Evanston and Glenview areas and how to register online.

Voting by mail

Voters can register to vote by mail at www.cookcountyclerkil.gov/elections/ways-to-vote up to five days before March 19. Voters must provide their driver’s license or state ID number, the last four digits of their social security number, the address to which they would like their ballot mailed and their email.

Registering to vote

Residents can look up whether they are registered on the voter look-up system and must not currently be serving time as a result of a conviction, be at least 18 years old and a U.S. citizen, have lived in their election precinct for at least a month before the election, and not claim the right to vote elsewhere. Residents can also register the day they vote in person.

Park Ridge

Park Ridge City Hall, 505 Butler Place, is open for early voting from March 4 to March 18. Monday through Sunday hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Skokie

Skokie Courthouse Cafeteria Room 100, 5600 Old Orchard Road, is open for early voting from March 4 to March 19. Monday through Sunday hours are 9 p.m. through 5 p.m. Sunday hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

On election day, voting hours are from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Skokie Courthouse.

Norridge

Norridge Village Hall, 4000 North Olcott Avenue, is open for early voting from March 4 to March 18. Monday through Saturday hours are 9 a.m. through 5 p.m. Sunday hours are 10 a.m. through 4 p.m.

Des Plaines

Des Plaines Public Library, 1501 Ellinwood Street, is open for early voting from March 4 to March 18. Monday through Saturday hours are 9 a.m. through 5 p.m. Sunday hours are 10 a.m. through 4 p.m.

Morton Grove

Morton Grove American Legion Memorial Civic Center, 6140 Dempster Street, is open for early voting from March 4 to March 18. Monday through Saturday hours are 9 a.m. through 5 p.m. Sunday hours are 10 a.m. through 4 p.m.

Glenview

Glenview Village Hall, 2500 East Lake Avenue, is open for early voting from March 4 to March 18. Monday through Saturday hours are 9 a.m. through 5 p.m. Sunday hours are 10 a.m. through 4 p.m.

Northbrook

Northbrook Village Hall, 1225 Cedar Lane, is open for early voting from March 4 to March 18. Monday through Saturday hours are 9 a.m. through 5 p.m. Sunday hours are 10 a.m. through 4 p.m.

Evanston

Evanston Civic Center, 2100 Ridge Avenue, is open for early voting from March 4 to March 18. From March 4 to March 9, hours are 9 a.m. through 5 p.m.; March 11 to March 15 hours are 9 a.m. through 7 p.m. March 16 hours are from 9 a.m. through 5 p.m. Sunday hours are from 10 a.m. through 4 p.m. March 18 hours are from 9 a.m. through 7 p.m.

Wilmette

Wilmette’s Centennial Ice Rinks, 2300 Old Glenview Road, will offer early voting from March 4 to March 18. Monday through Saturday hours are 9 a.m. through 5 p.m. Sunday hours are 10 a.m. through 4 p.m.
