Early voting expands to all 50 wards in Chicago on Monday

CHICAGO — Extended early voting for the Illinois Primary Election begins Monday in Illinois.

For Chicago, that means a polling location will be open in each of the city’s 50 wards and voters can cast their ballots at any early voting site.

The hours of operation is as follows:

  • Weekdays: 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.

  • Saturday: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.

  • Sunday: 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

  • Election Day: 6 a.m. – 7 p.m. (March 19)

Additionally, three temporary university sites for early voting will be open March 12-14, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the following locations:

  • Chicago State University – 9501 S. King Dr.

  • Northeastern Illinois University – 5500 N. St. Louis Ave.

  • University of Chicago Reynolds Club – 1131 E. 57th St.

In most suburbs, voting will be available at city or town halls.

All voting sites will also be open on primary day on March 19.
