Early morning fire burns garage in Rose Village neighborhood

May 30—Rose Village residents got an early wakeup call Sunday morning when the Vancouver Fire Department responded to a garage fully engulfed in flames.

Fire crews were dispatched at 5:08 a.m. to 2715 P Street. There, they found a detached garage burning in an alley behind the house.

The fire had spread to a second detached garage and was threatening the residence. Fire crews stretched hose lines behind the house and brought the fire under control by 5:27 a.m.

No injuries were reported and no residents were displaced.

The response involved 21 members of the Vancouver Fire Department. The Vancouver Fire Marshall's Office is still working to determine a cause and damage estimate.
