Eagles cut cornerback Brandon Hughes

The Philadelphia Eagles have released veteran cornerback Brandon Hughes.

Hughes is recovering from a broken hand.

Hughes' $630,000 base salary would have been guaranteed if he had been on the team through today.

The Eagles pointed out that Hughes could return to the roster.
