DWI, Assault, Resisting An Officer: This Week’s Police Blotter
CORNELIUS, NC — Cornelius police made eight arrests last week, with charges ranging from simple assault to assault on a female, according to the police department's blotter. A 28-year-old woman was arrested and charged with DWI, possession of marijuana, hit and run, and resisting an officer.
Three larcenies were reported in the past week, along with a breaking and entering reported at Carolina Vacation Rentals, located at 19453 West Catawba Avenue.
Cornelius officers also issued 77 citations last week, including 27 tickets for speeding, three for driving while impaired, 14 for expired tags and one ticket for having unsealed alcohol in the passenger area of a vehicle.
