San Juan County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Marcia Shumway confirmed an open investigation this morning, March 1.

Christopher “Topher” Owens, 28, and William “Drew” Bull, 29, were last seen in a black 1997 Dodge Ram in late morning or early afternoon on Monday in Blanding, according to Owens’ brother Jeff LeBlanc.

LeBlanc told ABC4.com that Owens and Bull do mechanical work and often perform recovery jobs for vehicles that get stranded or stuck on rural trails. While family members knew the two were headed to a job, they did not know the details or location. The duo have been known to ride trails between Blanding and Moab somewhat regularly.

LeBlanc said Owens was new to Utah, only having moved here roughly a month before his disappearance, and may not be familiar with the area. Owens and Bull have been friends for over a decade, said LeBlanc.

LeBlanc described Owens as standing around 5’6″ tall with a “skater haircut.” He is heavily tattooed, including a rose tattooed on one pinky and a pink and white flower tattooed between his thumb and index finger. He wears ear gauges and has several facial piercings. He is believed to have last been seen wearing a white T-shirt and black/metallic gray pants and sandals. He may also have been wearing a beanie or fitted cap.

No information has been provided on Bull.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of these two individuals is asked to contact the San Juan County Sheriff’s Office at (435) 587-2237.
