Dunlow Volunteer Fire Department gets insurance after temporary shut down

DUNLOW, WV (WVNS) — The Dunlow Volunteer Fire Department in Wayne County was temporarily shut down in March of 2024 due to not having a workers compensation insurance policy set in place.

According to the West Virginia State Fire Marshal’s Office, as of April 11, 2024, they received confirmation that the fire department now has insurance coverage set for their station.

They are now back in service and Wayne County 911 has been notified about this update.
