Duke And Duchess Of Cambridge Release Picture Perfect Christmas Card, Starring George And Charlotte

After those adorable festive photos of Prince George were released last December, we were hoping that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge would treat us to a similar set of photos this Christmas.
And they haven’t disappointed.
The couple have shared the most picture perfect Christmas card imaginable, starring themselves and both of their children. The photo, which Kensington Palace tweeted and shared on Instagram this morning, shows the foursome posing for the camera outdoors.

Naturally, seven-month-old Charlotte and her two-year-old brother George steal the show as they pose side by side. Charlotte is propped up on her kneeling mum’s lap, while Prince William crouches beside them.
The photo, which was taken in late October by photographer Chris Jelf, will appear on a festive card that the Duke and Duchess will send out to their friends and family.
“A new family photo – Merry Christmas from The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince George and Princess Charlotte,” reads Instagram caption.
“The Duke and Duchess are hugely appreciative of all the warm messages they have received about their family this year and are very much looking forward to their first Christmas as a family of four.”

It’s lovely to see the family looking so relaxed together as so far the only photos of the four of them were taken at Princess Charlotte’s christening in July – where all four were dressed up to the nines and looking a tad uncomfortable.
In this new snapshot, George is wearing a pale blue knitted jumper with a fairisle print around the neckline with matching blue shorts, while Charlotte looks cute in a pale pink floral dress and cardigan – similar to the get-up she wore in the photos that Kate took of her last month. It’s hard to tell, but it may even be the exact same outfit.
The Duchess looks far more dressed-down than usual in a blouse and jeans, while Wills is his usual dapper self in smart trousers, a pale blue shirt and navy V-neck jumper.

So how will the family of four celebrate their first Christmas together? With a trip to church, numerous presents and (no doubt) plenty of food and games at Anmer Hall.
“We’ll go to church as a family on Christmas Day, as we always do,” Prince William told the Big Issue earlier this month. “Then we’ll watch George try to tackle his presents as he tries to unwrap them. It’s a very different experience at Christmas, having a family of your own.”
“It’d be nice if we got a white Christmas because we haven’t had one in many years.”
We couldn’t agree more.
