DUI checkpoint on US Rt. 60 in Greenbrier County

CHARMCO, WV (WVNS) — An upcoming DUI checkpoint will be performed by the West Virginia State Police in Greenbrier County.

The checkpoint will occur on Thursday, May 23, 2024 and go into Friday, May 24, 2024. It will be on US Rt. 60, Midland Trail W in Charmco at the intersection with WV Route 20, Coalfield Trail, and be between the hours of 8:00 P.M. and 2:00 A.M.

National Prevention Week recognized by the West Virginia Department of Human Services

The purpose of this checkpoint is to catch drivers who may be under the influence and to help educate residents about the dangers of driving impaired by either drugs and/or alcohol. The West Virginia State Police urge anyone driving to report drivers who may be under the influence.
