'DuckTales' first look clip: Meet Webby VanderQuack!
We are just hours away from the premiere of the all-new DuckTales on Disney XD, and Yahoo TV has an exclusive clip showing the first time Huey (Danny Pudi), Dewey (Ben Schwartz), and Louie (Bobby Moynihan) meet Webby VanderQuack (Kate Micucci).
While Webby, the granddaughter of housekeeper Mrs. Beakley, was a regular on the original DuckTales, she’ll be playing a much larger role in the rebooted series, joining Uncle Scrooge (David Tennant) and his nephews on all their adventures.
She is also a huge fan of Scrooge McDuck. With a pinboard filled with facts about Scrooge’s extended family, Webby answers two fundamental questions of the Duck family: How are Donald, Huey, Dewey, and Louie related to Uncle Scrooge? And who is the evil triplet? (However, the eternal question of why Launchpad is the only duck to wear pants remains unanswered.)
DuckTales will premiere in a one-hour television movie to be presented for 24 consecutive hours, Saturday, Aug. 12 (beginning at midnight ET), on Disney XD.
