The Duchess of Cambridge has given a little glimpse into the sporting hobbies Prince George and Princess Charlotte are loving right now.

Though Princess Charlotte may well follow in her aunt Zara Phillips’ footsteps because she has a passion for horses, her elder brother, George is more of a fencing fan.

The Duchess chatted about her children’s hobbies during a Buckingham Palace reception honouring Team GB’s Olympians and Paralympians. Kate joined the Queen, Prince Harry and Prince William for the reception to welcome home the stars of the Rio games.

“George is fascinated by fencing, but I think that’s because of the face shields,” the Duchess told Equestrian triple-gold medalist Natasha Baker during the event, according to The Mirror.

And despite being only 17-months-old, Kate also revealed that her daughter was already showing some sporting prowess, particularly when it comes to horses.

“She said Charlotte is really enjoying her riding, which is great to hear, and I said we may see her here on a line-up in 20 years time,” Natasha told The Mirror.

“She emphasised that Charlotte has this passion about horses and although she doesn’t echo it, she’ll do her best to champion and encourage it,” Natasha explained.

According to Field Hockey Player Alexandra Danson, the Duchess also revealed George has a penchant for swinging around a polo stick at home but she’s trying to teach him how to use it as a hockey stick.

We can’t wait to see his royal cuteness on the hockey pitch.
