That smile!

In honor of Prince George's fifth birthday on Sunday, July 22nd, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have released a new portrait of their son to the public -- and it's completely melted our hearts!

Shot by photographer Matt Porteous outside of Clarence House, the picture shows a grinning Prince George dressed ever so fashionably in his white collar shirt and blue pants -- the same outfit he sported at the Trooping the Colour in early June.

The shot was taken following Prince Louis' christening on July 9.

"The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to share a new photograph of Prince George to mark his fifth birthday – thank you everyone for your lovely messages," Kensington Palace captioned the photo.

“It was a privilege to take this photograph of Prince George, and I am delighted that The Duke and Duchess have chosen to share it. I wish His Royal Highness a very happy fifth birthday," the photographer shared on his own account.

Porteous was also responsible for the family's christening photos, as well the portraits released for Prince George's third birthday in 2016.

For this year's birthday milestone, the palace will release a newly minted coin titled "The Progress of a Prince." The coin will feature Prince George's great grandmother Queen Elizabeth on one side, and St. George combatting a dragon on the other. The £5 commemorative mint will be available for purchase by the public.
