What’s Driving You Crazy? – Viewer emails about the seemingly never-ending work on the 95/515 freeway

LAS VEGAS ( KLAS ) – This week’s work on the 95/515 freeway between Boulder Hwy and Charleston helps answer several viewer emails about what’s been going on there since March of last year.

Like this one from Claudio, who writes:

“With the almost daily changes there it’s almost impossible to see freeway lines, much less which ones are right and which ones may be wrong. When will they stop improving the freeway and simply let us drive safely and without lane closures?”

Justin Hopkins from the Nevada Dept of Transportation wrote back:

“Our crews regularly monitor and update striping for safety purposes.

We understand that navigating the area can be challenging. We are working to finalize improvements while minimizing disruptions. Finding the balance between traffic impacts and completing construction is challenging. Our ultimate objective is to swiftly and safely complete this project, providing a better roadway for all. We sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding.”

As we mentioned in Monday’s report, NDOT is hoping to have most of the entire stretch of the 95/515 freeway between Sunset and Charleston “substantially” complete in August.

Buckle up, drive carefully – and, please put down that phone! When you write in to join the “Driving You Crazy” conversation, photos and video help tell your story, but not taken while you’re driving!
