Driver turns himself in after woman critically injured in Queens hit-and-run: sources

REGO PARK, Queens (PIX11) – A man turned himself in to police late Monday after a person was critically injured in a Queens hit-and-run, sources told PIX11 News.

Nodirbek Ibrokhimov, 19, was charged with leaving the scene of an accident with serious injury, according to authorities.

The crash happened near Queens Boulevard and 63rd Drive in Rego Park around 10:11 p.m. A 63-year-old woman crossing Queens Boulevard onto 63rd Drive was struck by a BMW, police said.

She was transported to NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst in critical condition.

Ibrokhimov walked into the 112th Precinct shortly after the crash to turn himself in, sources said.
