Driver sought in Clearwater hit-and-run that critically injured 75-year-old woman

CLEARWATER, Fla. (WFLA) — The Clearwater Police Department is searching for the driver involved in a hit-and-run crash that critically injured a 75-year-old woman Tuesday night.

According to police, at around 8:36 p.m., a dark-colored SUV struck the woman on the sidewalk near the parking lot of the Rumba Bar and Grill, located at 1800 Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard.

CPD said the SUV fled the scene after the crash. The woman was taken to a nearby hospital, where she is in critical condition.
