Driver who plowed into Escambia County home on Lenox Parkway critically injured 66-year-old

One of the occupants involved in the Lenox Parkway crash that saw a sedan drive through a living room is in critical condition at Baptist Hospital.

Florida Highway Patrol says a 38-year-old woman driving a Chevrolet Camaro drove into the living room and injured a 66-year-old man.

"The driver failed to maintain control of the vehicle resulting in the vehicle colliding with a home on Lenox Parkway," an FHP news release says. "The 66-year-old male was transported to Baptist Hospital with critical injuries."

Escambia County Fire Rescue previously released that the driver was transported to an area hospital, but did not sustain injuries. A 65-year-old occupant of the home did not sustain any injuries.

FHP cited the 38-year-old for careless driving.
