Driver loses control, slams into medical building in Pomona
Two people were hospitalized after the car they were traveling in slammed into the side of a medical building and overturned in Pomona Monday night.
Emergency personnel responded to the incident shortly after 11 p.m. when a vehicle exiting the 10 Freeway lost control and crashed on East Artesia Street.
Video from the scene showed the mangled vehicle had overturned and possibly caught fire after crashing into the building, which houses the Artesia Medical Pharmacy and other medical offices.
Two people were rescued from inside the vehicle and taken to nearby Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center in unknown condition, California Highway Patrol Officer Garcia told KTLA.
An investigation into the incident was ongoing, Garcia said.

It was unclear if speed or alcohol played a factor in the crash.
