Driver injured Wednesday morning after Howard County schools bus crashes in Owings Mills

May 22—A Howard County Public Schools bus with no students aboard crashed into a wooded area Wednesday morning in Owings Mills, injuring the driver, according to police.

Baltimore County Police on the scene Wednesday morning said the bus driver was taken to a hospital with minor injuries after the crash at about 8:50 a.m. near the Under Armour Performance Center, the Ravens' training facility. The bus appeared to have contacted a guardrail on Deer Park Road near Winning Drive before traveling into the woods, police said.

A Howard County Public Schools spokesperson said that the bus was serviced by a contractor to transport students from Howard County to The Harbour School, a private placement school in Owings Mills for students with disabilities.
