According to Roden, the bus was stopped with its lights on to let the kids off when a Honda passenger car came from behind and hit the bus.

The driver of the Honda was originally airlifted in critical condition but has since died as a result of their injuries, Roden said.

The kids were checked by medical officials, but there were no other reported injuries. Another bus has since picked them up to complete its route.
