Euclid man killed in crash into railroad support beam

EUCLID, Ohio (WJW) — A driver was pronounced dead after a crash in Euclid on Thursday night.

The crash took place shortly after 10 p.m. in the 1000 block of East 260th Street. It appears the car crashed into a railroad bridge support beam.

The medical examiner was called to the scene and the driver was pronounced dead, according to police.

The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office on Friday identified the driver as 62-year-old Michael Anthony Landrum of Euclid, and ruled he died of blunt force injuries caused in the crash.

The area was blocked off to traffic temporarily.
