Driver caught going 133 mph on Florida highway

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — One driver is facing a hefty fine and a mandatory court appearance after they nearly doubled the speed limit on a highway in Florida.

According to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, a driver was caught going 133 mph in a 70 mph zone on State Road 417.

Officials said that traveling 50mph over a speed limit will get reckless drivers a $1,104 ticket, on top of a mandatory court appearance.
