Downtown Greenville has scored another winner, folks! We didn’t think the drinkin’ and dining scene could get any better, but along came this Scoundrel!

Greenville native Chef Joe Cash brought his wealth of experience on the world stage to Main Street with Scoundrel, a chic, modern bistro serving French classics and more!

We paid a visit to see what all the buzz was about … and to check out the creations coming across that beautiful bar.

The Midori Sour

Bringing back fond memories of Chef Joe’s time in NYC and his favorite neighborhood

Japanese restaurant make this gem his favorite. We strongly urge you to take the chef’s recommendation on this one! It’s a light, velvety concoction that has notes of citrus and a refreshing tartness.

We also like the lower alcohol content, so you feel tipsy not sloppy!

The Oaxacan Royale

A good choice for those who want to dip their toes into tequila tasting. Beautifully balanced with a hint of a bite in the beginning and a mere waft of smokiness in the background, it's perfect for sipping and savoring.

And just because this one is pretty in pink (from Joey’s house-made strawberry syrup), let us remind you that real men wear pink … and drink pink drinks! This one deserves a coronation.

The Dorian Gray

We love a good gin drink every now and then, and Lauren created a delightful cocktail comprised of a few of her favorite things: Lillet, Earl Grey tea syrup, gin and St-Germain. Elegantly presented in a martini glass, you'll find it herby, floral and smooth.

You might even think you’re drinking from the fountain of youth as it's sure to give you a pep in your step!

Simply sophisticated …

From the décor (inside and out) to the delicious, creative dishes coming from Chef Joe’s kitchen, the theme is simple sophistication.

While you will find some slightly high-brow offerings (Russian Ossetra Caviar, escargots, foie gras) on the menu, those who prefer the meat-n-potatoes approach to a meal will be delighted with the Steak Frites and other lower-brow (but no less sophisticated) delights.

And we are always suckers for clever names, so we would order the “Dirty Rotten Scoundrel” just for kicks.

Score a table…

Open Tuesday through Saturday from 5 until…, this Scoundrel deserves your attention ASAP. And this spot is hot, so a little planning ahead will pay off nicely!
