DPD patrol supervisor T-boned while responding to call

DETROIT (FOX 2) - A Detroit police patrol supervisor, driving a semi-marked police vehicle, was T-boned while responding to a ShotSpotter call to assist other officers.

The crash took place on Seven Mile and John R, around 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

The officer and the driver of the other vehicle were both hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

Lights and sirens in the police car were activated, but it was still struck.

The incident remains under investigation.
