Dozens Missing After Vessel Capsizes in Indonesia's Lake Toba

At least one person died and 39 others went missing after a vessel capsized in Lake Toba, in Indonesia’s North Sumatra province, on Monday, June 18, the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) said.

As of Tuesday afternoon, June 19, a total of 18 people had been rescued from the overturned KM Sinar Bangun, BNPB spokesman Sutopo Purwo Nugroho told journalists via WhatsApp. He also shared footage of the rescue from the North Sumatra Regional Disaster Management Agency.
