Downtown Noblesville road to close for four months. Find out where.

Parts of Conner Street through downtown Noblesville will be shut down for road construction for four months starting Monday night.

The State Road 32 project will be completed in four phases from just west of State Road 37 to across the White River and is scheduled to be finished by the end of 2024, according to the Indiana Department of Transportation.

The rebuilding is needed to replace century-old bricks underneath the road surface. Crews will begin working between 6th and 16th streets in the first phase.

Several businesses are along the route and the sidewalks will remain open. Passage through the north-south streets of 8th, 10th and 16th Streets will be restricted at times but never at the same time, according to INDOT”s project webpage.

The recommended detour for westbound drivers is to take State Road 37 south to 146th Street, west to Hazell Dell Road and north back to State Road 32. Eastbound motorists should take Hazel Dell south to 146th Street and State Road 37 north to State Road 32.

The construction comes while a major Hamilton County roundabout project is underway at the intersection of Allisonville Road and 146th Street. Allisonville Road is currently closed to traffic but 146th Street is open.

Pleasant Street south of SR 32 in Noblesville is also being rebuilt with a series of roundabouts.
